25 Mile Creek Boat Dock Wave Attenuator
The 25 Mile Creek Boat Dock/Wave Attenuator is a United States Forest Service facility which is used to base their transport and service boat operation from on Lake Chelan. Due to the harsh weather conditions on Lake Chelan development of the marine truss structure system required careful consideration of wave and wind dynamics acting on the boat dock/wave attenuator. This marine structure was also designed to facilitate the addition of a future metal building for USFS service water craft maintenance and protection. The integrated lattice truss members were fabricated with base plates for large main frame column reactions. The dock/attenuator is anchored with 16-inch and 24-inch steel pipe piles.
